While we don't have a date for the founding of Stark, you might consider that their post office opened in 1914. While the community is gone, the present day location for Stark is 4,380 feet [1,335 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Stark is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level.
