While our initial data about Sentinel came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Sentinel in various books, maps and other sources. When we find a mention, a fact or snippet, we add that information to our Gazetter.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Sentinel. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Sentinel is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

From that list:

The Sentinel post office opened in 1880 and had closed by 1960.
