So far, we found very little information about La Paz. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

La Paz would have been located within present day La Paz County<2>.


The location of La Paz has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>


While we don't have a date for the founding of La Paz, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1865.

While the community is gone, the present day location for La Paz is 580 feet [177 m] above sea level.<4>.

Time Zone: The area where La Paz was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time

Note: If you leave La Paz and travel west, you will soon leave Mountain Standard Time and cross into the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT). In addition, you will be moving from an area that does not observe daylight saving time to one that does.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for La Paz was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the La Paz post office opened in 1865.
