Welcome to Chiapuk ...

So far, we found very little information about Chiapuk. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Chiapuk to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Chiapuk, please Contact Us.

Chiapuk would have been located within present day Pinal County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Chiapuk, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1956.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Chiapuk is 1,900 feet [579 m] above sea level.<3>.

Time Zone: The area where Chiapuk was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Chiapuk in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Chiapuk was on a map titled Road Map for Arizona (from Shell Oil, 1956).
