At the time of the 2010 Census, Apache Junction had a population of 35,840 people (which is 9.54% of the total population of Pinal County). This makes Apache Junction the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Apache Junction represents 0.56% of the population of Arizona (which has 6,392,017 people), making it the state's 24th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 35,840 people, the population of Apache Junction increased 12.65% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 31,814 people).
