So far, we found very little information about Dixie. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Dixie would have been located within present day Perry County<2>.

We originally found mention of Dixie in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Dixie was on a map titled William Bradley Map (1889).

We also found Dixie in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
