The community of Perryville is the Seat for Perry County.

Perry County was founded in 1840 and was created by taking area from Conway County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Perry had a population of 10,417 people. This is a decrease of 0.27% since the last Census (which gave a population of 10,445 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Perry represented 0.36% of the total population of Arkansas.
