The location of Dial has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Dial, you might consider that their post office opened in 1897. While the community is gone, the present day location for Dial is 870 feet [265 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Dial was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Dial would have been located in the (870) area code.
