The location of Evergreen has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Evergreen, you might consider that their post office opened in 1853. While the community is gone, the present day location for Evergreen is 380 feet [116 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Evergreen was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Evergreen would have been located in the (601) and (769)<5> area codes.
