At the time of the 2010 Census, Marion had a population of 1,479 people. This makes Marion the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Marion represents 0.05% of the total population of Mississippi (which has 2,967,297 people), making it the state's 133rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,479 people, the population of Marion increased 13.33% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,305 people).
