The location of Aplin has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Aplin, you might consider that their post office opened in 1905. While the community is gone, the present day location for Aplin is 950 feet [290 m] above sea level.<4>.
