The community of Port Washington is the Seat for Ozaukee County.

Ozaukee County was founded in 1853 and was created by taking area from Milwaukee County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Ozaukee had a population of 89,221 people. This is an increase of 3.29% since the last Census (which gave a population of 86,377 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Ozaukee represented 1.52% of the total population of Wisconsin.
