Welcome to Franklin ...So far, we found very little information about Franklin. While we don't have a date for the founding of Franklin, you might consider that their post office opened in 1886. When the people of Franklin referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Franklinite<3> While the community is gone, the present day location for Franklin is 610 feet [186 m] above sea level.<4>.
