From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Red Banks was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Red Banks post office opened in 1840.

We also found Red Banks in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
