From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Mouth-of-Wilson was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Mouth-of-Wilson post office opened in 1837.

We also found Mouth-of-Wilson in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
