Such is the case with Mayberry.<1> Our sources for Mayberry (see Mentions and References below) indicate that it was a community with a post office by the same name. Unfortunately our sources aren't clear about the location of Mayberry other than they indicate that Mayberry would be found somewhere in Patrick County, Virginia. From the Blevins / Hellbock List: The post office opened in 1895 and closed in 1922. Communities Also Named Mayberry ...We found eight communities that share the name Mayberry. Within Virginia, the name Mayberry is unique. Beyond Virginia, we know of another eight communities that are located throughout in the United States and Canada. Of these eight communities, seven are located in the United States and one is in Canada.
