From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Bruceville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Bruceville post office opened in 1897.

We also found Bruceville on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Virginia (1911).
