So far, we found very little information about Utahn. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Utahn would have been located within present day Duchesne County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Utahn, you might consider that their post office opened in 1908.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Utahn is 5,860 feet [1,786 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Utahn is about 1¼ mile [or ~1¾ km] above sea level.

Adding Utahn to Our Gazetteer ...

We originally found mention of Utahn in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Utahn was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Utahn post office opened in 1908. The Utahn post office closed in 1911.
