Slaterville would have been located within present day Weber County<2>.


The location of Slaterville has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Slaterville, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1897.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Slaterville is 4,240 feet [1,292 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Slaterville is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Slaterville was in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).

We also found Slaterville in the book titled .<7> From that list, the Slaterville post office opened in 1897.
