How Far From Maple Meadows to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Maple Meadows to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers, the straight-line distance<1> beginning in Maple Meadows and extending to:
- Salt Lake City, which is the Seat of Salt Lake County, lies just to the Northeast.
- Salt Lake City, which is the State Capital of Utah, lies just to the northeast (NE).
- The White House (Washington, DC) is 1,844 miles [2,967.6 km]<1> to the east (E). If you could drive a straight line from Maple Meadows to White House, with an average speed<2>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take most of three days to make the trip.
