Welcome to Lucin (aka 'Umbria Junction') ...So far, we found very little information about Lucin. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Lucin to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have a date for the founding of Lucin, you might consider that their post office opened in 1905. While the community is gone, the present day location for Lucin is 4,470 feet [1,362 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Lucin is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Lucin was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel west from Lucin, you will soon leave Mountain Time and cross into the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT).
