While we don't have the exact location of Jackson , we believe that it would have been located within present day Washington County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Jackson, you might consider that their post office opened in 1884. When the people of Jackson referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Jacksonian<3> Time Zone: The area where Jackson was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time If Jackson still existed, it would have been in the (435) area code.
