The community of Coalville is the Seat for Summit County.
Summit County was founded in 1854. Summit was created by taking area from Salt Lake and Counties.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Summit had a population of 42,081 people. This is an increase of 15.85% since the last Census (which gave a population of 36,324 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Summit represented 1.31% of the total population of Utah.
