So far, we found very little information about Tinaja. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Tinaja was located in Big Bend Country (West Texas).

Tinaja would have been located within present day Brewster County<2>.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Tinaja is 2,590 feet [789 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Tinaja is ½ mile above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Tinaja was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time
