Welcome to Texon ...So far, we found very little information about Texon. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Texon to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Texon, please Contact Us. Texon was located in Big Bend Country (West Texas). Texon would have been located within present day Reagan County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Texon, you might consider that their post office opened in 1926. While the community is gone, the present day location for Texon is 2,720 feet [829 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Texon is about ½ mile above sea level.
