Welcome to Tap ...

So far, we found very little information about Tap. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Tap to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Tap - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Tap, please Contact Us.

Tap was located in the Texas Panhandle.

While we don't have the exact location of Tap , we believe that it would have been located within present day Dickens County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Tap, you might consider that their post office opened in 1900.

Time Zone: The area where Tap was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The location where Tap once stood is in the (806) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tap was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Tap post office opened in 1900.
