At the time of the 2010 Census, San Antonio had a population of 1,327,407 people (or 77.41% of the total population of Bexar County). This makes San Antonio the county's most populous community.

The population of San Antonio represents 5.28% of the total population of Texas (which has 25,145,561 people), making it the state's 2nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,327,407 people, the population of San Antonio increased 15.97% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,144,646 people).
