Welcome to Remlig ...

So far, we found very little information about Remlig. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Remlig to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Remlig - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Remlig, please Contact Us.

Remlig was located in the Piney Woods (East Texas).

While we don't have the exact location of Remlig , we believe that it would have been located within present day Jasper County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Remlig, you might consider that their post office opened in 1905.

Time Zone: The area where Remlig was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Remlig was on a map titled Map of Texas (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Remlig in the book titled .<3> X3X - From that list, the Remlig post office opened in 1905.
