Welcome to Poesta ...
So far, we found very little information about Poesta. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Poesta to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Poesta - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Poesta, please Contact Us.
Poesta was located on the South Texas Plains.
While we don't have the exact location of Poesta , we believe that it would have been located within present day Bee County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Poesta, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.
Time Zone: The area where Poesta was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Adding Poesta to Our Gazetteer ...
As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.
The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Poesta was in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
