At the time of the 2010 Census, Pasadena had a population of 149,043 people. This makes Pasadena the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Pasadena represents 0.59% of the total population of Texas (which has 25,145,561 people), making it the state's 17th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 149,043 people, the population of Pasadena increased 5.2% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 141,674 people).

We originally found mention of Pasadena in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Pasadena was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<9>

From that list, the Pasadena post office opened in 1893.

We also found Pasadena mentioned on a train schedule titled Southern Pacific Railroad Time Tables (August 1903).
