The Commemorative Quarter for Texas

Welcome to Oregon ...

So far, we found very little information about Oregon. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Oregon to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Oregon - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Oregon, please Contact Us.

Oregon was located in the Texas Panhandle.

While we don't have the exact location of Oregon , we believe that it would have been located within present day Baylor County<2>.

Time Zone: The area where Oregon was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Oregon would have been located in the (940) area code.

Footnotes ...

<1>We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Oregon, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.
<2>If you're interested in how the shape of Texas' counties, including Baylor, have changed over time, we recommend the Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
