While we don't have a date for the founding of Nameless, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880. The origin (or the toponymy) of Nameless: The story goes that six different names were proposed to the postal service and they were all rejected. In frustration, the town's people replied "Let the post office be nameless and be damned". While the community is gone, the present day location for Nameless is 780 feet [238 m] above sea level.<3>.
