The location of Mormon Grove has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Mormon Grove, you might consider that their post office opened in 1875. A typical abbreviation for Mormon Grove: Mormon Grv. While the community is gone, the present day location for Mormon Grove is 890 feet [271 m] above sea level.<4>.
