Hetty was located While we don't have the exact location of Hetty , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hunt County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Hetty, you might consider that their post office opened in 1901. Time Zone: The area where Hetty was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time The location where Hetty once stood is in the (903) & (430)<3> area codes. We originally found mention of Hetty in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page. From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hetty was on a map titled Map of Texas (from Rand McNally, 1911). We also found Hetty in the book titled .<4> From that list, the Hetty post office opened in 1901.
