Welcome to Harmony Hill ...

So far, we found very little information about Harmony Hill. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Harmony Hill to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. Harmony Hill was located in the Piney Woods (East Texas).

While we don't have the exact location of Harmony Hill , we believe that it would have been located within present day Rusk County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Harmony Hill, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1854.

Time Zone: The area where Harmony Hill was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Harmony Hill would have been located in the (903) & (430)<3> area codes.

We originally found mention of Harmony Hill in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Harmony Hill was on a map titled Map of Texas (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Harmony Hill in the book titled .<4> From that list, the Harmony Hill post office opened in 1854.
