Welcome to Hammond ...

So far, we found very little information about Hammond. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Hammond to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Hammond - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Hammond, please Contact Us.

Hammond was located in the Piney Woods (East Texas).

While we don't have the exact location of Hammond , we believe that it would have been located within present day Polk County<2>.

When the people of Hammond referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Hammondite<3>

Time Zone: The area where Hammond was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The Area Code where Hammond was located: 936

Communities Also Named Hammond ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Texas communities named Hammond: This one is located in Polk County and the other is located in Robertson County.

Beyond Texas, there are 33 communities that are also named Hammond - they are located in California (2), Florida (2), Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky (2), Louisiana, Maine, Michigan (3), Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New York (2), Ontario, Oregon, Pennsylvania (3), South Carolina (4), West Virginia and Wisconsin.
