We aren't confident of the location of Hackberry, so consider the above location as an estimate.<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Hackberry, you might consider that their post office opened in 1862. While the community is gone, the present day location for Hackberry is 260 feet [79 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Hackberry was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Hackberry still existed, it would have been in the (361) area code. While we believe that this Hackberry is located in Lavaca County, we know of another 6 Texas communities named Hackberry.
