Equestria was located While we don't have the exact location of Equestria , we believe that it would have been located within present day Johnson County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Equestria, you might consider that their post office opened in 1883. Time Zone: The area where Equestria was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time We originally found mention of Equestria in the GNIS.
