Welcome to Epworth ...

So far, we found very little information about Epworth. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Epworth was located in the Texas Panhandle.

While we don't have the exact location of Epworth , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hale County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Epworth, you might consider that their post office opened in 1884.

Time Zone: The area where Epworth was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

If Epworth still existed, it would have been in the (806) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Epworth was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Epworth post office opened in 1884.
