So far, we found very little information about Elizabeth. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Elizabeth was located While we don't have the exact location of Elizabeth , we believe that it would have been located within present day Denton County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Elizabeth, you might consider that their post office opened in 1870. When the people of Elizabeth referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Elizabethan<3> Time Zone: The area where Elizabeth was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time While we believe that this Elizabeth is located in Denton County, we know of another 2 Texas communities named Elizabeth. Those communities are located in the following counties: Hidalgo and Jefferson County. Beyond Texas, there are 31 communities that are also named Elizabeth - they are located in Alabama (2), Alberta, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas (3), Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio (3), Ontario, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee (2) and West Virginia.
