Welcome to Duck Creek ...

So far, we found very little information about Duck Creek. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Duck Creek to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. Duck Creek was located

While we don't have the exact location of Duck Creek , we believe that it would have been located within present day Dallas County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Duck Creek, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1848.

Time Zone: The area where Duck Creek was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 9 communities that are also named Duck Creek - they are located in Delaware, Georgia (2), Illinois, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

We originally found mention of Duck Creek in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Duck Creek was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Duck Creek post office opened in 1848.

We also found Duck Creek in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
