While we don't have a date for the founding of Denver City, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1956.

At the time of the 2010 Census, Denver City had a population of 4,479 people (which is 25.56% of the total population of Gaines County). This makes Denver City the county's most populous community.

The population of Denver City represents 0.02% of the total population of Texas (which has 25,145,561 people), making it the state's 362nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 4,479 people, the population of Denver City increased 12.4% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 3,985 people).
