Chambers County was founded in 1858. Chambers was created by taking area from Jefferson and Liberty Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Chambers had a population of 43,837 people. This is an increase of 23.64% since the last Census (which gave a population of 35,456 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Chambers represented 0.14% of the total population of Texas.
