Welcome to Boquillas ...

So far, we found very little information about Boquillas. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Boquillas to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. Boquillas was located in Big Bend Country (West Texas).

While we don't have the exact location of Boquillas , we believe that it would have been located within present day Brewster County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Boquillas, you might consider that their post office opened in 1896.

Time Zone: The area where Boquillas was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The location where Boquillas once stood is in the (432) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Boquillas was on a map titled Map of Texas (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Boquillas in the book titled .<3> From that list, the Boquillas post office opened in 1896.
