The location of Omega has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Omega, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880. While the community is gone, the present day location for Omega is 510 feet [155 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Omega was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Omega still existed, it would have been in the (931) area code.
