Williamson County was founded in 1799 and was created by taking area from Davidson County.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Williamson had a population of 238,556 people. This is an increase of 30.23% since the last Census (which gave a population of 183,182 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Williamson represented 2.89% of the total population of Tennessee.
