Welcome to Treelon ...

While we don't have a date for the founding of Treelon, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1956.

Time Zone: Treelon lies in the Central Standard Time Zone (CST) and does not observe daylight saving time. The time zone in French: CST- Heure Normale du Centre (HNC).

Note: If you leave Treelon and travel east, you will soon leave Central Standard Time and cross into the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT). In addition, you will be moving from an area that does not observe daylight saving time to one that does.

Footnotes ...

<1>When there's a risk of an area code running out of phone numbers, an 'Overlay Area Code' is created that has the same geographic boundaries as the existing area code. In this case, the 306 code has been Overlayed with one of the following codes: 474 or 639. New phone numbers in the Treelon area will be assigned with one of these codes: 306, 474 or 639. As a result, placing a call in the Treelon area will require 10-digit dialing (where you enter both the area code and then the phone number).
<2>The Canadian Postal Code consists of 6 characters, where the first three characters are the 'Forward Sortation Area (FSA)', with the last three characters being the 'Local Delivery Unit (LDU)'. In the case of Treelon, we provide only the FSA and not the LDU. The Canadian Postal Codes were created as a way of grouping addresses to make delivery more efficient. So keep in mind that any given Postal Code is only 'loosely' associated with a community (such as Treelon). The boundaries of the Postal Code can be changed, re-assigned, eliminated or overlapped with other Postal Codes. When looking for a Postal Code, whether Treelon or elsewhere, it's always best to check the website of the Canada Post / Postes Canada.
