Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Sioux Falls had an population of 183,793 people. This is an increase of 19.43% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 48.25% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sioux Falls had a population of 153,888 people (or 90.81% of the total population of Minnehaha County). This makes Sioux Falls the county's most populous community.
