Ivanhoe would have been located within present day Custer County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Ivanhoe, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

From the 2010 Census (the most recent Census number we have), Ivanhoe had a population of 135 people.<3> (see below for details).

While the community is gone, the present day location for Ivanhoe is 4,380 feet [1,335 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Ivanhoe is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level.
