Welcome to Flatiron ...So far, we found very little information about Flatiron. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Flatiron to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have a date for the founding of Flatiron, you might consider that their post office opened in 1901. From the 2010 Census (the most recent Census number we have), Flatiron had a population of 15 people.<3> (see below for details). While the community is gone, the present day location for Flatiron is 5,430 feet [1,655 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Flatiron is about 1 mile [or ~1¾ km] above sea level.
